299 Association was formed in May 2002 with the aim of providing contact between old and new comrades in arms who achieved Airborne or Commando status within 299 Troop RE (V).
 
In October 2009. The Association become a part of the Airborne Engineers Association and still holds the values and commitment in promoting and maintaining contact between all Parachute and Commando Engineer Volunteers.
